The plan of writing more on the Philippines is looking less and less likely so pictures it is!!

Georgia was given some candy to hand out at christmas however she ended up getting mobbed so badly by the children that in the end she was told to throw the candy up in the air and run! Hilarious!

Gorgeous little 18month old Cedric!! So cute and such a beautiful smile. He has had a really tough start to life being born premature and experiencing significant health issues causing his birth mother to not be able to care for him. He has spent much time in hospital but is now moving forward in leaps and bounds and is not far away from walking on his own!!

Manila

One of my highlights of the trip was hanging out with Daisy! She's from the states and has worked with KIM for the past 3 years. As you can see she is highly skilled and does an amazing job with the kids in the children's home as well as also starting up the pregnant mother's clinic I mentioned earlier, as well as being super fun to hang out with!

If you have been to an Asian country before you will probably have some idea as to the complete chaos that occurs on the road. As never having been to an Asian country, it took a little getting use to. It's complete madness and not uncommon to participate in a little 'counter-flow' where you venture on to the other side of the road and drive into on-coming traffic and hope they move out of the way. I loved travelling in the trikes (which seat 6 Filipino's plus a driver but only fit 4 Aussie's comfortably, however the driver will insist on cramming 6 people in so he can make the most money). I also loved the Jee-Pee's (Jeep style open bus's left over from the American's), loved the bright colours and loved getting into one's that had the music pumping! Very cool!

Rona and her son Joseph. Rona has an amazing story. She works at the children's home and also with alot of the community projects and does an incredible job. She has experienced some really tough times and listening to some of her story makes your heart break however she has such a strong faith and has an amazing story of how god has worked in her life which gives her and those she works with in the community hope for the future and a deep knowledge of Christ's love for them.
